At Farmer Bill’s Provisions, we saw a problem in the meat snack industry—jerky packed with sugar, soy, MSG, and nitrates. Most meat snack brands source beef from overseas—Brazil, Uruguay, Africa, even China—to cut costs and increase margins. Even those using American beef often rely on the "big four" meat packers, losing control over quality and transparency. We do things differently. Our beef comes directly from South Dakota ranchers we know and trust, ensuring the highest quality from start to finish. We process everything in-house at our own small meat processing center, avoiding the middlemen and mass production methods that compromise integrity. Biltong isn’t just jerky—it’s better.
