Well Made was born out of a love for natural living and a deep connection to family and tradition. As a wife, mom, and lifelong advocate for clean ingredients, I first started making my own tallow lotion in the winter of 2023 after a friend gifted me tallow from her cattle. When I became pregnant just a few months later, I quickly realized it was my ultimate skincare staple—so much so that my midwife joked I should sell it! The idea lingered in the back of my mind, and during my maternity leave, I found myself searching for a way out of corporate life. With an endless supply of high-quality tallow from my family’s fourth-generation farm in South Dakota, I made the call to the butcher, started formulating, and Well Made was born. What started as a simple personal remedy has now grown into a full line of nourishing, handcrafted skincare.
At Well Made, quality starts at the source. My tallow comes directly from my family’s fourth-generation farm, where the cattle are pasture-raised with care by my uncle Kelly and cousin Carson. Having grown up making memories on that land, I love that I can now incorporate my roots into a brand built on integrity and tradition. Every ingredient I use is straight from nature, chosen for its proven benefits to the skin. I also prioritize sustainability—not just by using all-natural ingredients, but by making thoughtful choices in every step of production. My products are packaged in glass jars to avoid toxins and reduce waste, and I partner with local small businesses for labels, photography, and design. Even the leftover fat from rendering is put to good use, feeding my backyard chickens instead of going to waste. Well Made is more than skincare—it’s a return to simplicity, purity, and the time-honored wisdom of nature.
