Amy’s Journey

Amy always enjoyed being active but, for a long time, was motivated by fear of gaining weight or ending up with diabetes, which seemed so normal in the adults around her. She learned about all the things the standard fitness and medical industries said you were supposed to do and did them, until she ended up burnt out and beat up. Needing naps to get through the day in her 20s didn't seem right either, so Amy went in search of a better way. She sought out an approach that honored the body the way God made it - respecting hormones, metabolism, and nervous system so she could live vibrantly!

Now she is dedicated to helping other women build a healthy metabolism through manageable steps so they can stop worrying about weight, have energy to enjoy each day, and stop the voice in their heads saying that aging is a process of gaining weight and pain. That is what Sustainably Fit is all about. When not training clients, Amy loves going for walks with her husband, competing in Masters Track & Field, taking Hillsdale online courses, and hanging out with her Scottish terrier and cat named Punk.
